How FanChatting Manages Your Fansly Account Without Your Password

Published 2026-09-11

What a Management Session actually is

Fansly has a built-in feature for this called Management Sessions. It lets a creator give a manager or a team access to parts of their account without handing over the login password. Fansly's own help center describes it as "an easy and secure way to share access without giving out your login credentials."

The problem it solves is simple. Handing over a password is an all-or-nothing move. Once someone has it, they can log in from anywhere, and there is no clean way to take it back except a full reset that locks the creator out too until a new password is set. A Management Session opens a separate, limited door instead of giving away the only key.

How a creator sets one up

Setup happens from the creator's own Fansly Creator Dashboard, under the Management section. The creator creates a session, names it, picks a permission level, reads a disclaimer, and confirms. Fansly also lets a creator generate several session links at once, so a team working in shifts can each get their own.

What can be restricted

A Management Session is not full account access under a different name. Fansly's help center specifies that payouts and account closure are always restricted, no matter what permission level a creator grants. The other permission options cover the day-to-day of running an account, such as messages and posting, but moving money and shutting the account down stay off-limits by default.

A manager should be able to answer DMs and schedule posts. A manager should not be able to touch a creator's payouts or close the account.

How revocation works

Two things keep a Management Session easy to control. A session is not a permanent login: once the manager logs out, that access ends, and the creator has to generate a new link to open it again. On top of that, the creator can delete a session at any time from the Management page, which cuts off access right away, and editing an existing session requires the creator's own two-factor authentication. Revoking access never depends on the manager agreeing to give it up.

Fansly's help center also notes that its support staff will never ask a creator for their management session link, 2FA code, or password. Fansly never needs any of those, so a request for them under the Fansly-support banner is the real warning sign.

Why this matters beyond FanChatting

Any team that runs Fansly DMs for a living, ours included, needs some form of account access. The real question, for us or anyone else you're considering, is which form that access takes. A team that asks for your password is asking you to trust that they'll never lose it, never reuse it, and never need it cut off in a hurry. A team that asks for a Management Session is asking for exactly what the job requires, in a form you can shut off yourself the moment you want to.

If an agency can't explain how it accesses your account without your password, ask them directly. It's a fair question to put to any team before you hand over anything.

How FanChatting uses Management Sessions

We don't ask creators for a Fansly password. Every account we work on is set up through a Management Session that the creator creates and controls. Payouts stay untouched, both because Fansly restricts that by default and because we have no reason to go near them: your platform payouts go directly to you, and we invoice you separately for our service. If you want to change what we can see or do, or stop working with us altogether, you delete the session from your own dashboard, and our access ends there.
